Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

You just know TS will try some “chicanery”* to disrupt us. Think George King short kick off etc. The trick is to withstand the whirlwind at the start!
* not meant in a derogatory way

I think one thing we can probably count on is a relatively open game with some good rugby as TS doesn't promote dubious tactics and foul play. May be a high scoring game this one.

It might well be, but I think it would make sense to treat it as a dry run for the semi and play our rusty defensive game. That might appear a bit boring but if we get through methinks we will need to complete 90% of our sets and leave no defensive gaps to get to the final.

I agree, it doesn't have to be defensive but priority one should be working them over in the middle of the field (where we should have a clear advantage) and winning the energy battle. If we get into a game of short kick offs and chip-overs we are very much in their territory and could come unstuck.

Its a shame but i think the scale of our injuries will just be to big for us to front up. Quinlan, Ryan, Hall, Minikin, Mincella, Lawler, Hadley, Maher, Vete and Parcell would all have started had they been fit, a team with a squad like yours would struggle with that number out, we just dont have the depth to cope, hence the result at Leeds. Smith will have to go full blown plan B off the cuff to stand a chance and the downside of that is we could easily see a big score posted against us. I hope not but if we get out of this losing by less than 20 I'd be relatively happy.

Chicanery is fine CH, expect skulduggery should we get to the semi final.

It would be great to see a reminder from HKR of how the Wire used to play under Smith.

It would be better for us to stomp them into the ground over 80 minutes

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Probably the likely outcome, we can't really complain, we chose to go with a skinny squad.

What i like is that this thread is full of both sets of fans discussing the game in a respectful knowledgeable manner, which is refreshing and should be applauded!

If we get through I’m hoping their arrogance is their downfall (again). Interesting that last week Dodd was the saviour but this week he is useless…
