I’ve no issue if Austo plays or not, so long as bench supremacy isn’t compromised. Nice guy is Blake, but I have zero grace and goodwill tolerance.
Austo was unplayable 3 years ago and absolutely nailed on for man of steel, he hasn’t been remotely near that form since his leg injury in the summer of 2019.
Widdop is absolutely massive for us and looks very comfortable with Ratchford and Williams. That fluidity isn’t there with Austo in the halves this season.
He made absolutely no difference to the team when he came on. Not that he should, as a replacement, you can only want for that and perhaps a little more with freshness of legs.
I’m very at ease not to see him play again got us and have a huge pack and bench.

Only for about the first three months of the season, or so, until his one dimensional play was worked out by every opposition coach and defence. As you say, there's not the same fluidity with Austin, as there is with both Widdop and Williams. Austin just makes the overemphasised dummy, and that's his play book done. Cannot knock him for effort, but he lacks the ability of Widdop and Williams of playing the situation in front of him and quickly adapting to it. If he pulls on the Rhino's shirt and turns into Jonathan Thurston, I'll be very annoyed!
