If I've got my maths right then Cas have to beat us on Thursday or they are out. If they win then we meet them, at home, on Thursday 23rd Sept come what may. If we beat Cas next week then we meet the loser of Leeds vs. Hull KR. The match will still be at the HJ on Thursday 23rd, KO 7:45PM.

Cas have to throw everything at us next Thursday. If they win (which is the probable outcome if we choose to rest players) then both Leeds and Hull KR will be playing to keep their season alive the following night. If we beat Cas then Leeds and Hull KR can afford to rest players knowing that they are through and it's all about whether they meet us or Wigan in the eliminator.

Cas winning doesn't sound like such a bad thing. Leeds will be dangerous in the playoffs if they get a few players back from injury. Hull KR are very much looking like a tony Smith side, they're playing some really nice rugby this season, they also have Abdull back who has been great for them this season IMO.

There shouldn't be want easy games in the playoffs though, I'm more concerned about our form not being great.

This coming game is a pretty horrible game for us. We have nothing to gain and Cas have plenty.
We already have several injury doubts. Be glad to get of pitch without picking up more. Mind you I am glad we are not battling for our position.

I have it on good authority that our 1st play off game is going to be shifted to the Friday (24th), on the request of Wigan, as Latics play at home Saturday so they need more preparation time for ground stuff etc....

Someone on the pies board posted yesterday the club have confirmed they're on the 24th

Why should that make any difference when the game will be at the HJ anyway ?

Tbh ,i would like to think that ,just for this one game , our present team would be given a very good testing game by our incoming coach & whatever team he has available.
