True story.
We employed the same thinking, when we signed Inglis to play for Mike'n'Martha's RLFC. Sadly, he sprained his fork holding hand ( and did his hamstring)

Mike & Martha’s aren’t the same team anymore.

So Williams won’t be here til next season then. There’s obviously a plan to keep him match fit somehow without him getting injured playing for a club with cap space..

Where’s that come from that he won’t be here till next season?

Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

My mistake.
Inglis must've gone on a Bosman, when he heard the jingle "Did somebody say just eat"

The soundbites from the club and the media are that nothing will be changing regarding rumours about the current squad. Wigan have said Wiliams won't be joining them as he's agreed to join an other club for next season. So I guess nothing could be arranged to make it work for this season with the cap. He's now 'unattached' for his return to the UK - which means he's training but not playing or about to join a club on a short-term deal. Not sure how that works legally but I'll bet Warrington want to keep him wrapped in cotton wool until the pre-season training starts, so maybe there's a clause that sees him take the rest of this season off, maybe training with us but not playing. Don't forget he gets two months of his Canberra salary as severance and that should see him through til November.

Not far off. Austin and Widdop were great last night weren't they. I'm not sure where Williams fits in if you do get him under the sombrero this season. Nice problem to have though I guess.

I'm not scared to come and post on here after a defeat. I'm not one of those posters who go around claiming we're going to win everything, so I don't have anything to defend. You edged a very tight game last night, I see little reason to panic after that.

people got you all wrong.

you're not just sad on St Helens... but you're sad on Warrington as well, as that's where you live.

i think, deep down, you support both clubs.... i would stake all my chips that you have jumped up and cheered a wire try (probably against the pies).

Saddened isn't the enemy...... he is just struggling with his allegiance.
