Name any other set of supporters who come anywhere near that lot when it comes to being classless in victory and downright childish in defeat? You couldn't. Ridiculous to label a whole set of fans with such traits but they genuinely are special. Had the misfortune of spending the morning there today and even at kids football they are quite happy to display their missing chromosomes as a badge of honour.

True. I see Wigan as a big rival and I'm happy when they lose.

But when it comes to them vs Saints, I always hope they win.

'I've done things i'm not proud of. And the things i am proud of,.......well they're disgusting'

Re: Tonight’s game v Saints : Sat Jun 19, 2021 7:43 pm
I've no time for saints fans and have been chuckling reading redvee the last few days. But to give them a tiny bit of credit, the majority of them disagreed with the buffoon who started a thread entitled 'wire salary cap sombrero'.
The thing I don't get is that we're CONSTANTLY told we're not a rival and are completely irrelevant to them. So why do they go into a complete meltdown every time we beat them? It's very odd

I read that and the majority did agree, the thoughtful thinkers are in a huge minority

I think Warrington fans have such a strong reaction to Saints fans because they're very, very similar. Saints fans all grew up with a massive inferiority complex over Wigan and turned mega arrogant when we started winning lots of trophies. Warrington fans were similar, but with Wigan, then Saints lording it over them. So when the Challenge Cup wins came the arrogance quickly sprouted, only to be dashed each year when you somehow managed to drop out of the title race. Once you win your first Super League title, your transformation will be complete and the arrogance will bloom.

The similarities between Saints and Wire fans also shows in the reactions. Look at this board in the aftermath of the semi final. Then look at it after the 6-2 uber-domination of Saints, Duckie is again on about the inevitability of you winning the title and even some of the more normal posters are discussing how Saints and Wigan are finished and the rest of the league are trash.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

I think we are discussing the fact that your own supporters on Redvee and Wigan supporters on their board thinks their respective teams are in decline and that next season will see the apocalypse.
As for drawing any conclusions about how most of us feel by referencing the Duck shows a level of desperation/ignorance never before seen.

Yes but it's Duckie. Whilst he seems a good bloke he also thinks that Dec Patton is the second coming of Andrew Johns.

I see Toby King has to miss his international debut after faking his medial ligament damage in order to cheat Sintellins out of their rightful two points. He should be ashamed of himself.
