So.

Excellent win last night, showing the sort of resilience required to win finals. Hats off to Price, he pulls these performances out of the bag when we are underdogs and it feels great.

The big question now is, can this be a turning point in our mentality or is it just the usual moment of wonder in an otherwise mediocre season?

I guess the next two games will tell us.

There’s a reason they call themselves “The Entertainers” I’m not convinced it’s related to their style of rugby.

I'm getting sick of beating them quite frankly, it's getting boring. Have they only scored 18 points against us in the last 4 games?

You'd have thought sky would start labelling it a 'hoodoo'

Few more (easily done) and it is a hoodoo. I got it wrong they've scored 24 against us in the last 4 games....still not great is it? They got 18 of em in one match....ruddy Nora.

I'd like to know what percentage of the second half was played in our 40.... I'm guessing about 60-70%. ...mainly down to the ref.....AND still they could score a try....at home....couldn't score a try at home against little old Wires. Truth be told their attack looked 1 dimensional and laboured. Coote reminds me of a late middle-aged grandma.

Absolutely nothing to do with how good we were in defence BTW. Jon Wilkin ...his insight is just hilarious. His opening statement when he got round to talking about us was something along the lines of they haven't played a top team yet....oh really Jon? Catalans not top of the the league in your 'ikle world... you total melt. He then finished his verbal diarrhea by suggesting the only reason Warrington won was they cheated. You couldn't make it up. Johnny Vegas would be less biased.... and at least he is funny sometimes.

I only mentioned that as it was late on and the ref was giving it. He followed the play and it was the touch judge who took the decision. It was forward and you edged the win overall, I've got no issues with that. But the mocking you lot do over my posts is daft, you ignore the praise I give Warrington, focus on some tiny bit and act like you blew us off the park last night. I was just trying to get across the point that if we'd sneaked it somehow, your fans would have been wallowing in the mud and calling for beheadings. You swing so quickly between manic depression and delusional confidence.

Remind me which post that was in please, as I seem to have missed it.

Sorry to disagree O E but Vegas is never funny.

No we didn't. With the King incident we really would have had to pack in if we couldn't score there. Your line was in disarray, I think you only had two players covering half the pitch as they'd all come in to chase LMS, Saints were lined up with about 8 players ready to go that way. But I get your point, pass into touch is as likely as us exploiting a 6 man overlap last night.

Your defense was magnificent last night, but the game was very even overall. It was just one bit of quality from Widdop that separated the sides. I saw nothing last night to worry about particularly, we just have work to do on our attack. It wasn't like you hammered us. The way Saints fans are talking Facebook and redvee, you've just put 50 on us to send us bottom of the league. The usual suspects on here too will be claiming invincibility and predicting an unbeaten run to the title. You've always been capable of beating us in one off games and do it pretty regularly now.

I’m confused, which games aren’t “one off”?

It's certainly a season of extreme peaks and troughs, with some great defensive performances against Catalan and Saints, tempered with shockers against Huddersfield and Castleford.
Then there was that weird game with Hull where neither team could find a way to win.

No doubt there will be more of the same as the season unfolds, but we need to be more consistent. As supporters, fans or whatever label we choose, we can't have our cake and eat it by expecting to watch a perfect performance every game, just because we've won at Saints. We've done this many times recently, but haven't got that GF win yet, so expect the unexpected.
Good thing is, that last night points to this season being far from a write off, well not for now, anyway.
