Could it be that we sign Williams on a contract till end of season then give him his new deal for next season after.

Don't the cap police count his total salary over the period of the contract, and divide it accordingly i.e. he'd actually take up more space for this year even if we play him less?

But what if we gave him one contract for this season, then a completely new one for next season?

I think they count the contracts as the same. Didn’t the RFL come up with that after a famous breach? Fielden maybe?

He was good in his second game at fullback against Catalans. There aren't clubs in a rush to sign Mamo doesnt mean he would have been good enough for us if he signed on. Same goes for King but I'm glad he signed a new long term contract too.

He has always been a little on the larger side, I think he would have come good and played a part for us this season.

Cas have signed mamo.. crossfields wouldn't have inglis,.it was nothing more than a shirt selling excerise..hope we never ever try this pee take again

Crosfield wouldn't have Ingis? They bloody would. I don't think it was a publicity stunt he fancied another crack, we were lucky he chose us, it didn't work out through injury but it could have done. I really think it was a gamble worth taking. If you expected to see the old Greg Inglis then the dissapointment is on you.

You bet wrong. Given the youngsters we have played recently its fair to say the club has been concentrating on churning out more youngsters. They don't just get plucked off the street. The club seems to be a better job on that front.

Agree to disagree regarding Inglis.

We didn't know he would go back to play origin whe we signed him though or that he wasn't past it for that matter, so the gamble at the time of signing was the same. Pretty sure that's what SC is getting at. We don't live in hindsight, it was a gamble that could have paid off massively but unfortunately didn't.
