Charley must be under pressure. Powell has made a show of him twice this season with a back rower playing opposite him. Hardly a good audition for your now employer.
While there is no direct need for panic, there needs to be a shift in attitude. Defensively we’re paper thin, split up the middle over and again on Saturday. And against Salford we were in trouble a few times on the right, Livett scoring and a couple where we scrambled, you could argue a better team put them chances away.
Attack wise, it’s a game of give it to Widdop/Currie/King and see what happens, if not put a bomb up. Little else to say there.
The chasing pack, including Leeds & Huddersfield will have us in their sights, we’re only a few games clear with a really tricky run coming up. We have to play Leeds twice, Saints twice, Wigan three times and Huddersfield. So making the playoffs is not a foregone conclusion. Even HKR, who will be confident of getting a win against Salford at the weekend, will be on our tails.
