Cooper didn't have a good game, but in his career at Wires and St George he'll have had poor games, brilliant games and indifferent games but for a senior player to react like that ..... well a picture paints a thousand words.

It was open defiance and frustration and although I'm in the "keep it in the dressing room" camp usually, it was one of the few displays of passion in a Wires shirt all afternoon and good to see.

He didn’t, but neither did Clark.
Price played them and they were both clearly still unfit through injury.
You play injured players in big games, you get found out.

That’s not the way I saw it. I thought it was just Briers commenting to Price about how crap we were throughout the game. He had that sort of ‘can’t believe we just watched that’ sort of expression.

I’m not convinced we’ve got a lost dressing room either (in the sense of players falling out with Price). I think if anything it’s a lack of passion in the group due to maintaining the status quo of ‘big club, big players, backing of board, jobs not on line’. It’s interesting to see how the Castleford players responded for Powell. They could have lost interest and let Powell’s mind be focussed elsewhere. But they all worked together like the true definition of ‘team’.

It’s good that we’re replacing the whole coaching structure, not just personnel but also the fact we’re not plumping for an Aussie assistant and assuming they will be better than a proven British equivalent. Some of our senior players seem to be a bit too comfortable as well. I do wonder if it’s time to focus on a younger squad with the odd smattering of quality such as Widdop and Williams. Powell has form for getting that style of team to consistently perform.

As for this season, I really think it’s already over. Even a hammering of our next opponents won’t fix the general malaise and erratic form that we’ve gotten into. I don’t even want to point fingers anymore and play the blame game I just want to see things shaken up ASAP so at least we know SOMETHING is being done to create change.

Time to move on, not patch up.

Briers said to Price ‘what’s he doing’. Could lip read it clear as day. No idea who he was on about could have been on about anyone after that performance.

Seems like something happened with Currie and the crowd as well, from reading on twitter. Players certainly don’t seem happy.

I wouldn't be happy either, if I was part of a team that had bottled another big occasion in such an embarrassing fashion.

They deserve all the stick they are getting.

Yep. We nary complete a team try these days. We'll put one away in the corner after a good move but often it takes Toby King or Jake Mamo to make something out of nothing otherwise we're buggered for creating collectively earned points.
