I call someone polynesian ... 8 games.
I hit someone who has just butted my brother ????
I am not sure we have things in perspective.

If you follow the disciplinary "logic"

Joel should be getting top end of his charge in terms of games.

He missed the end of last year and the start of this year on a ban.

His record is worse than linehams

Some have in the past suggested Cullen for our CEO, at the moment it seems a disciplinary department is even too taxing.

At this rate I can see players getting seriously hurt.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

To be fair it was a headbutt worthy of a Premiership footballer, like the rest of his performance in that match it lacked commitment. The panel probably took that into account.

It was a head butt. He should have received a much bigger ban.

If I was describing what I saw I wouldn’t describe it as a headbutt, I would go with “head pushâ€. I want to make it clear I’m not defending Hardaker who clearly still has “issues†regarding anger management! As does Bateman.

I'm just surprised they didn't just go for "red card sufficient" and forgo the ban entirely.....

To be honest I heard about it before I watched it a couple of days later and from the description I got, I was expecting it to be worse. You could see he was getting frustrated in the minutes before that, a red card was the correct decision but i've seen much, much worse. Even the Sinfield one from a few years back was worse than that from memory and that got 2 games, so there is some consistency in punishment there, what is his disciplinary record been like over the past few years? I know he's done some stupid things off the field and was banned for homophobic abuse 6 or 7 years ago, but that's probably too long ago to influence suspensions in 2021?

Tomkins (Joel) should have seen red too. Not sure what a grade D is these days in terms of weeks but guessing it'll be a fairly long suspension - 4 games maybe - although i'd take a couple of games off as it was Hardaker he hit and that has to be classed as a mitigating factor

Tompkins got 4 games tried to challenge the grading. Griffin failed his appeal also.

Someone should encourage him to appeal again.
