One thing is for sure and that’s I doubt we’ll see a worse 40mins for a very long time but on the plus side we’ve moved up the table even with a loss.

Re: Tonight’s game v Giants : Mon May 17, 2021 10:06 pm
That game was lost in the selection for the starting line up.
Ever since the coaching masterstroke of playing Hughes at standoff in the Cup final price has been obsessed with throwing swerve balls
Naming Ratch at 1 and Inglis at 3 today and then starting the game the other way round really had Watson puzzled.
Forget the fact that we had the smallest wing / centre partnership with a new second row combination against Sezer / Edwards and Lutele. That side destroyed King, Mamo and Thewlis.
And then on the other side we had a new edge combination.
It took Price 35 minutes and 3 unanswered tries before he figured out what had gone wrong.
I still cannot get over the incompetence of starting the season with King on the left edge knowing full well that when inglis gets fit he will start at left centre and King will switch. Why not allow King to start the season at right centre to build combinations with Hughes, Austin and Charnley.
There used to be a channel 4 series called faking it where they would train a sheep shearer to work in Tony & Guy. I think we are in a similar social experiment whereby we have a total imposter at the helm
I have nothing against any of the player's, there was enough on the pitch to do a job tonight but just swap a second rower for another back rower. The experiment and mind games didn't work.

Can somebody tell me when Ratchford last had a decent game? He's finished, as are Austin, Charnley, J Clark and Inglis

Ratchford was woeful and has been woeful for quite a while yet seems he can do no wrong by Warrington fans. Dropped a simple pass early doors tonight, hudds scored off the back of it, no one seemed bothered. We would benefit massively from this man's departure - been a hugely overrated thorn in our side for a long time.

We have, we just haven’t got a coach, who can create set plays and lines for them to run. Watch Currie shine next year under Powell I have a feeling that will be our go to side, I’ve got massive hopes for the lad under a good attacking coach.

Nailed on. Powell will be rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of working with Currie, and Ben can look forward to being put into gaps not brick walls.

Seems like Ratchford is the new incumbent of the blame game.

Not a great night for him admittedly, but he was still better than Charnley, Austin, Widdop and Inglis in the backs, and better value than several of the forwards as well.

I'd have a lengthy list of people to drop before I reached his name.

Agreed. Forwards weren't awful tonight though, I don't think anyone was truly horrific individually but the collective effort for the first half hour at least was really poor. Hills Ill discipline cost us again especially for their first try I just wish he could cut that out of his game completely.

*sighs* come on we all know by now Price will be here till end of season no matter how much we want him gone now. The one thing we do know is the club never do anything quickly except upset the fans.

People blaming Hill but bizarre terrace favourite Akuola gave two soft penalties away back to back during his ten minute stint that changed the momentum of the game in the second half.

Utterly useless.

And as above, taking our best attacking threat constantly out of his best position makes zero sense.

Thankfully Price and his useless â€assistants’ are all gone at the end of the season. Stealing a living with their record.

Said it before, why are we just too laid back cocky, “under the radar” as Philbin says, come out like doing a fecking John Wayne walk!
Another game we cannot score first and are chasing from minute 2.
