The demise of Tony Smith was a painful affair ,whether he had genuinely needed a break from coaching or was pushed we will probably never know.

As for the quality of the team ,even the legendary teams of Saints ,Wigan & Leeds are not carrying the same quality in their playing squads as they were once famous for.

Regarding Tony Smith and the end of his tenure, I was kind of making the point that a big part of the problem in helping him out the door were the players, their attitude and their on field performances. A lot of these players are still at the club now and performances aren’t too dissimilar to back then either.

Price should’ve gone at the end of last season at the latest for me, but the whole club needs wholesale changes from top to bottom and that includes the playing group too. I just don’t buy this narrative that getting rid of Price now and letting Henderson have a go, will all of a sudden change our fortunes that much.

Sorry Steve. I was asked a question and I answered it.

It’s a Warrington Wolves forum. What would you rather I wrote about? The Greek Gods? If you don’t like it don’t come on here. Quite simple, even for you.

I look forward to your comments on the Greek Gods ... bring it on.
I quite enjoy the usual sharing of views on here but I do take issue when there is constant repetition and it detracts from the fun of the forum.

We’ve just been tonked by a team that have won one game all season. Not quite sure what you were expecting to read on here this week.

I did expect a bit of moaning. I thought you might say that Huddersfield had that performance coming now they've their best players firing. They tore us apart and at half time I thought they might score 40.
We were dreadful. But why come out with the same old repetitive stuff virtually every day. We have got the message ... loud and clear.
I love Wire as much as you.

Because the same old repetitive stuff keeps on happening. Your eyes don’t like to you.

I’m entitled to an opinion, just like you. If you don’t like to hear it then that’s your problem Mr Price.

I'm glad to tell you that I haven't been wasting my time during the two lockdowns and nonattendance at games,. I've put this time to good use, and by some strange coincidence, I've been studying the Greek Gods.

For instance, did any forum members know

The Greek God of being out of your depth is called Karlus

The Greek God of peeing your money up the wall is Simonus

and the Greek God of 5 drives and a kick is Priceus.

You learn something new every day

What happened to the Greek god of "we'll win the lot this year"?

Re: Tonight’s game v Giants : Sat May 22, 2021 10:03 am
We totally lost the collision in the first half, and our scrambling cover defence was all over the place, leading to the contest being over before HT.
Second 40 was better, but not good enough to impact on the result. Austin taking the line on to create a very well crafted try was the highlight, but we need more of this, as our attack relied on Giants inability to catch an Austin bomb. We still lack ideas in the opposition 25, which is still the biggest frustration for me.

Trying players in different positions is one thing, but perhaps there were too many in one game, which didn't help our structure in the first 40.
