Wonder if they could’ve picked a smaller venue just to try and get even less fans in. That feels typical RFL logic but guess there must be some reason behind it.

Surely it would make more sense to have it over 2 days & hopefully get twice as many paying customers in .

RFL and sense would not be able to fit in a sentence.

Not if an additional day's broadcasting cost and stadium running costs exceed the gate revenue from an additional capped 4,000 attendance. I would imagine that massively exceeds £80,000 revenue that might be expected. From that viewpoint ie reality, it makes no sense.

Obviously ignoring the fact it was fixed for one day with the BBC for their schedules six months ago as confirmed in the article this thread was started with. Mind you they ripped their schedules up for the death of Prince Philip so no idea why they can't do it for the challenge cup semi final to get an additional 4,000 people in.

I'm glad it's in a rugby league stadium really, better to support rugby league clubs financially than football clubs who have enough money anyway. It should have been at the biggest rugby league stadium though IMO.

Why not, may as well do something with it and could be a boost to rugby league in Bradford?
