Neil Courtney and Ian Potter were the biggest loses to Wigan I could think of. Courtney was the best prop in the league when he left Wilderspool.

Ian Potter was signed by Leigh before he went to Wigan.

I remember Murphy pretty much taking our whole pack and halfback to newly promoted Pies. I remember us playing them in 81 and battering them. Got Alex’s autograph outside the ground by Ocker’s house.

He did the same in 1972 when he brought the Leigh pack to Warrington.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Re: Toby King : Fri May 14, 2021 5:30 pm
Saints have made an official approach according to the MEN and we have signed P Mata'utia for next season (hopefully not instead of Toby!)
At least our questionable haircut quotient will be taken care of.

Really can't say I'm over impressed with Mata'utia regardless of whether hes a replacement for King or not.
Happy to be proved wrong.

I have also heard this, but apparently the club to watch out for is Catalans as they have made a big offer. Personally I think I would be tempted myself to live in that part of France. Not too far from the beach, one of the sunniest areas in France, Canal de Midi not too far away, walking or skiing in the Pyrenees, lots of small castles to stroll around and the wine is pretty half decent as well.

King is close to his Mum. Can’t see him leaving for France myself.

You've lured me there by channelling your inner Judith Chalmers, when can we leave?

Well you’ve sold it to me! Not sure rugby players are allowed to ski though. I would have preferred to have signed for St Gervais Les Bains XIII given the chance though.
