Well I know that I've a vested interest but I enjoyed it overall, good effort, great defence, a team performance my first look at GI and another at Thewlis..

Although it may have been ugly and not for those that prefer their rugby a bit more Jimmy Choo stiletto than big Shirl's Doc's it wasn't that long ago that we were the worst thing ever and they were the best thing since sliced pain.

I'll take the win and a place in the semi thanks

A glowing example of how defence can help to win games in what is today becoming a sport of swarming defences. Great to see a rejuvenation of our right hand side attack with sparks of elusiveness from Mamo & a great display from young Thewlis.

Phil Clarke actually sounded close to tears when we were awarded a penalty for the late hit on Widdop.
