I posted this on the VT thread, but seems relevant to the above post too:

Perhaps he'd been advised not to, as it might otherwise be taken as an admission of guilt - whereas nowadays it seems standard practice for people not to admit their wrongdoings but to wait until any evidence is provided / verdict reached

Furthermore, we have no idea whether there has been any private communication between the two players to resolve the issue.

The RFL had the opportunity to stand up to racism, just like they've been asking the players and fans to address this season, but chose not to. Proof that the 'Tackle It' campaign is nothing more than a pointless 13 second virtue-signalling PR stunt.

If anything at least its slightly more than the 5 game ban Zak Hardaker got for his homophobic remarks to referee James Childs in the Wires vs Leeds match back in 2014.

Sorry Gary, there is only one opinion you are allowed to hold, and that is not it!

Now we know the context, can anyone explain, without spouting nonsense PC bo!!ocks, why this is any less of an insult, or less worthy of punishment, than what Clubb said?
And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Sorry folks, i'm locking this one now, having observed other threads on here go south very quickly this week, i'm stopping it before it starts.

If you do wish to carry on any discussions of this ilk, might i suggest you give the sin bin a visit.

Thanks
