To be honest, I wouldn’t have put money on him signing for us when the rumours came out. You’d think it was all just for negotiating a higher salary at Wigan.

Have to say though, he seems really happy and settled here, and I think he’s enjoying the prospect of being allowed to express himself under Powell. That short dink of a kick to Charnley last week was far harder than it looked.

I told Rogues no deal. Not because I didn’t want to pay if I lost, (which I didn’t, broke throughout covid), but because I actually did know it was a bagged deal, I couldn’t lose but felt guilty on RG.
However, if I could have took it from Fred Done, I would have emptied the slummy jar we use to book holidays with.

Him and Widdop look a lot more compatible this year under Powell then under Price, and that’s only after two games..
