'And I include Ratchford in that' implies he returns the ball well, the difference between Ashton and Inglis' kick returns and Ratchfords were huge. Today Ratchford knocked a ball on whilst on the floor with no-one near him....led to a try, threw a ball into touch under no pressure, gave away a needless six more on the last leading to another try amongst other aberrations. We shuffle everyone around and no-one EVER considers dropping him....even to the bench. Wire played well today, very good win. I'd want Inglis or Thewlis at FB if Ashton out.
Nobody thinks to drop him because he is a top player. He knows cause the opposition problems, the more players you have that are able to do that the more you stretch them, the more mistakes they make, the more opportunities you have and in theory the more sets you get and points you score. He's incredibly consistent and has never complained or given a poor performance when he's been shifted around all over the place.
