am i the only one not that arsed about Mata'utia?

He's ok, but nowt special, and probably the type of signing that the usual suspects here would lament our recruitment strategy on.

I'd be happy to stick with mamo at centre going forward.

He's not as good as King obviously, but I think he's better than Mamo. I think he's a more rounded player than Mamo, might not have the same pace, but has a better pass in him. I think he'd do a decent job without impacting the cap too much and is fairly versatile.

EDIT: Maybe I'm too ingrained in the Price coaching philosophy, we don't attack right anyway, why have any quality there!!

I have always thought those who get interception tries read the game well and will very probably get more. Lee Briers was the king at this. Some will basically hardly ever intercept a ball. They change the game and makes the opposition much more wary. I even noticed Mamo looking like he might get another v. Catalan. I'd like Mamo to be given a proper go at right centre and think he deserves it.
I suppose just how good Inglis is will affect this. If he looks like tearing sides up you put him where he can do most damage. We will see soon enough.

He just watched his full back carried over the line from 2 feet away never looked like helping.

I'm happy with Mamo at centre to be honest.

FWIW it'll be interesting to se if Watts and Radford do get on..... they didnt at Hull.

Great if we get Truman and Milner.

Not so sure about Mata'utia - same as FMC

Cas won't let load sof their players come to us Trueman we want, Holmes would be a good signing but I like Matt Davies at 13. As someone else said though Hughes at 13 is a good shout and either move king to 2nd row or sign a second a more creative second row. Depends who is available as centre or 2nd row for next season, really. I'm sure Powell will have a list of targets and will know the players he is interested in who are off contract.

There’s only Watts and Trueman from the Cas team I’d have an interest in, but I don’t think either are a gimme, you have to remember, Lee Radford will also want to keep his best players. Watts has kept a wide birth from Wire in the past too, Warrington is quite a drive from Hull...yes I know he’s at Cas, but he was living in Hull then.

Ligi Sao is a player i would love in the squad and he's off contract this year aswell. Big hitter in attack and defense and plays big minutes. And if sita goes he would be a much better forward to add to the squad. Cooper & Mulhern starting with Philbin, Hill and Sao off the bench would be immense. With Butler, doro etc as back up i'd be happy with.
All fantasy though as obviously i'm not picking and signing the players.
Weird start to this season so far, i'm already really excited for next year even though this season has only just started.....yet i'm really excited for this year aswell....all in all......i'm excited :-)

Well. Atleast powell has control of all the signings and all the players he wants for next season.
I can't find the article atm. But the manchester evening news have said that DP was bought on prior to the 1st may deadline for out of contract players to negotiate with other teams so that DP has the players he wants in the team for next season. Effectively Darryl Powell is responsible for the recruitment for next year.

Toby King already turned down a contract offer from us. Wants more money.
