Really? You scraped through a tight game through the flukiest of tries. If Percival stays on Saints win IMO.

For me as individiuals:

Coote = Ratchford
Makinson > Charnley
Grace > Lineham
Percival > King
Naiqama < Gelling (When he's focused)
Lomax > Widdop
Fages < Austin

For coote v ratchford can't split em
Same with tommy 5 bans and charnley..lineham all day long and I'm not a fan of lineham word up look a like v gelling it would be word up look a like..Lomax all day v watsup
..ages or Austin.Austin by a mile and another mile...if we had one on hookers Clark would run rings around golden boy

Makinson was suspended, Percival is broken. He's lasted about 20 minutes on his last two or three returns from injury. I didn't think he'd start the game to be honest and it clearly backfired. Logical step is then to move Naiqama to the wing and then Welsby goes and tops it off by getting injured leaving Knowles and Bentley at centre. Not many teams would cope with that mess too well.

Your team were missing one outside back, and so did ours, hence a weak excuse before we even kicked a ball.
By the way, this is what you really thought after the game:

Hate to say I told you so, but that outcome was very predictable. We're shocking in big games and we simply won't beat them in a meaningful game. Our only chance of winning SL this year is not getting them in the semi or final.

I'd love to know what happened just before lockdown. The team played so freely, looked so sharp and fit. Today we looked like we were playing in thick mud, we looked slower man for man than they did. And their fitness was way better than ours, which is worrying.

Ultimately now I've calmed down about the refereeing (Which was shocking. If I were Saints I'd request a meeting about it to review his decisions, several of them were just shockingly bad in terms of the consistency of his application. He hammered us and let everything go for them. He definitely refereed the game differently depending on who had the ball) and it is clear we lost the game primarily because of Percival going off the field. We ended up with Bentley and Knowles in the centres it seems and we were struggling from then on. But we still had to make errors for them to score. The tackling for Ashton's try was pathetic, Charnley's try was ridiculous as well. They were tired and just gave up at that point, players like Lomax and Coote just standing and watching the most blatant inside run from Charnley. He's so slow these days it's really frustrating to watch him slice through our line and walk in without anyone laying a finger on him.

We need to be better than that. It's that simple. Work to do on recruitment for next season which I don't think we've got the stomach for at the moment given the hit to the finances Covid has provided. I also think we'll have to sack Woolf at the end of the year.

Why can't you just give some credit to the other sides players and coach for being the better team for once, and just man up?

Not sure about the backs, but let me tell you our forwards wipe the floor with the Saints pack - Walmsley aside none of them would get in the starting 13, and Alex is desperately trying to keep old father time at arms length.

Graham is shot
Roby is ok but a shadow of his former self
Bentley, Lees and Knowles all massively overrated
Smith not SL class, certainly not top 4 SL class
Taia ok but wrong side of 30
LMS mouth well ahead of brains and ability
Peyroux failed centre and nothing more

Lineham and Widdop didn’t play.

Ratchford is a lot better than Coote. Off the scale better. Taller faster multi positional Makinson over Charnley I’d agree
Grace over Lineham??!!! you’re deluded. Lineham is about 6” taller and 2 stone heavier.
Percival King similar.
Gelling Naiqama. 5ft 10” about 14.5 stone vs Gelling 6ft 4” and 16 stone ...ultra bigger and heavier.
Fages Austin...5ft 8” 12.5 stone midget vs 6ft 1” nearly 15 stone stand off...!
Widdop Lomax 5ft 10” 14 stone vs Widdop 6ft 15 stone halfback. Jury is out at the mo on Widdop, on paper....bigger heavier than Lomax. I like Lomax though. A trier.

You said better, but now you're just listing their height and weight? By your method Jamie Ellis is better than Jonathon Thurston was, Jordan Abdul is better than Cooper Cronk.

 We're so terrible. So you're backs and forwards, bar Walmsley, are all better than ours. How are we the Champions again then? Surely we should be propping up the table rather than top of it?

Ps I actually think it’s our bench that may give us the advantage

Cos you didn't play us in the final.

Really if you think about it, we've been unfortunate to play wigan and leeds in the GF's if we'd played saints we'd have 4 of the buggers.
