Well the last fans forum I attended we were told it’s about fan entertainment, I thought that was supposed to about winning the game, apparently it’s not you are meant to be entertained I even if we are crap. Needless to say I never went to another meeting if that’s the mentality.

Unfortunately there does seem to be plenty of evidence that the people running the club don't see winning as the main priority. You see it every now and then.

The cringeworthy social media stunts. Taking the mick out of other clubs on Twitter. Printing "It's Always Our Year" on an OFFICIAL matchday banner.

I remember one of the questions on Roger's fan survey, the one he did at some point after replacing a perfectly good club badge with a crappy new one (because it scared the kids), and before he buggered off early.

"How important to you is winning on match day?"

It may have been worded slightly differently, but I found it quite worrying that the club felt the need to ask.

Just keep plugging away, and making grand finals. Sooner or later something falls, like with saints and their 5 on the trot. Sport has a habit of rewarding persistence.

Maybe, but I do think we will see the return of Halley's Comet before we see the SL trophy in Warrington ...

Sport, and life, have a habit of rewarding dedication, determination, ruthless single mindedness, desire and ability. Persistence is fine for also rans and learning the harmonica.

For sale thirty brand new suits, made in 2007 never been worn but rather tear stained.
Apply to Wigan warriors rented accommodation.

2 nil will get you a win
30 nil will get you a win
75 nil is absolute humiliation.

Yet again the monkey has triumphed.

Despite our best efforts, season after season, and being within fingertips at times to take him down , the Wilderspool monkey still rules at the Halliwell Jones ok.

Have we got what it takes to overcome him. Can we overcome him, or Has he become totally dominant now . I can only see deja-vu.

You need to recruit Jeremy Keeling on your staff.

When I say persistence it encompasses determination, dedication, desire. Warrington have made 4 grand finals this decade, in terms of contesting grand finals, that more or less stands up with wigan saints and leeds. So over a long period of time the club have been there abouts. You can expect and reasonably hope to win 50% of the grand finals you play in, leeds won 7 out of 7 from 2007-2017 but that is an exception. Warrington have come up short, but that doesn't mean say over the next decade you don't win 3 out 4 and just about hit that 50% mark.

Little tweaks are needed rather than making vague grandeur gestures like revamping the entire culture at the club and doing this and that. You fell off last year due to the CC win, that happens alot to even the most seasoned of title challengers. This year it's hard to judge because of coronavirus, figure out what went wrong this season, tweak it, and make the grand final next year.

You do know, many people are able to see Haley’s Comet twice in a lifetime.

I hope that if winning the GF happens before that comet comes round again, it isn't as underwhelming as the last time it did.

Yes, and probably when we least expect it.
