Huddersfield Away 28th TRAIN : Fri Feb 19, 2010 6:04 pm  

This is a successfuuly planned day out tried and tested by Als Tours, is a great laugh all day

The fare is 14.70
Train departs from 9.44am from central station arriving in Huddersield around 10.44am.

Wetherspoons 10.50 am, nice big breakfast or steak and chips whatever is preferred, and a nice ice cold pint to wash it down(cheap ale)
Then onto liodys bar later on.

After the game back into Huddersfield town centre for the sky game(6pm kick off) Leeds v Melbourne finishing at roughly around 8.05pm

Train then departs 8.28pm arriving roughly around 9.28pm central station

Then Kings head, prince, hop pole choice is yours.

This is a top day out everybody welcome, more the merrier!

Yes remember this same trip from 2 years ago for different reasons:-
1. got very drunk
2. got turfed out of Wetherspoons for singing Wire songs
3. got on tv talking to alfie
4. met some great Giants fans and enjoyed the craic in The Rope
5. discovered that my jacket had been stolen with house and car keys in pocket (sadly probably by a Wire fan!)
6. Almost missed train home
7. Woke up with mother of all hangovers next day.
8. Jacket (and keys) found dumped in a hedge by ground staff (thanks) - drove back to Huddersfield to collect.
Would I do it again? You bet LOL!

That was the day some sad soul confused the 1st Half with the 2nd.

Sounds fantastic. May have to do this, I really want to visit the George hotel though, what time's it open, anyone know?

I'll be going on the Train...Is liodys in the town centre?..Quite fancy visiting the George Hotel too haven't had a chance to yet...
