when does work start on the casino that's supposedly giving you a million dollars before you've even stepped into the building?

Isn't the head honcho from Salford's cost consultants a poster on this board. Perhaps he can update a progress.

From a casual observers view (I'll wait for WOTT to give an expert's view) I would have to ask if the job is out to tender yet. If it isn't then commencement on site in September would rank alongside the new Wembley's original programme in the optimistic stakes.

A pitch laid and seeded June 2009 would struggle to be playable by early 2010.

Personally i don`t think its a bit rich from Widnes and Leigh fans as you put it, neither of those clubs have been given the chance to play in SL with the knowledge that their will be no relegation along with having the chance to build their clubs with the 3 years grace period.

Both Leigh and Widnes were fighting a losing battle from the start whilst in SL as they were never given the chance of operating at the full salary cap or even close to it, they both basically fielded budget teams in the main.

They had the same opportunities to get into SL & stay there as Hull KR, Wakefield & Salford did. Not counting Cas in there as but for franchise they would have been a yo-yo club although I also believe they knew franchises would not have been affected by this year's final table so afforded the chance to blood some youngsters.

Fact is they missed franchise through not being good enough on or off the pitch & that is all there is to it.

You may as well register yourself as a creditor to the tune of £100.

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.
