Why do we immediately jump to a rift with Clark? Walker is designated our future 9 at a much lower cost. It’s a sensible decision, it doesn’t have to be negative, it’s just sport. If Saints had an able hooker coming through who they thought could do the job, do you not think they’d be given a shot?

Remember the days we'd call someone 'Judas' if they signed for a rival, thinking back to Scully etc. Just a thought. Clark running off for the bigger bucks and the chance of winning something. I'm sort of torn about it, because I fully understand why he'd want to. But still, why's it got to be THEM?

He's going for lower money (apparently) and missing his testimonial cash in order to win a GF before he retires. Can't blame him one bit and I think he'll be excellent at Saints and it's a good signing for them (despite what our resident Scouse fool says).

I should think Clark's reason for leaving Cas was to win something with Warrington but he seems to have gone backwards in his time with us. Perhaps he could get his mojo back at Saints & form a more than capable partnership with Lussick.

He’s not specifically leaving to win a GF, his own words and those of Mike Rush, is he just wants to play 9. Not 13, not off bench.
That’s it, that’s all Clark said, where Rushy added last Saturday night, that Clark is on a huge wage cut to what Wire offered him.

Shaun Mcrae, the example you've used, managed saints 1996-1998; that's c. 30 years ago. Are you now suggesting it's ok to use examples around 30 years ago to support your point:
