What makes a greeting card man suitably qualified to select our new coach, or is that a perk of being major shareholder?

Why isn’t Karl Fitz being sent to Oz to secure a coach? Is he no longer trusted?

It’s obvious that Warrington are courting Holbrook but will they get their man?

Well the fact he is a businessman and a successful one by all accounts. Pretty sure he would know how to conduct an interview and select the right type of person to employ. Fitzpatrick a mediocre rugby player no success as a businessman that I know of and the fact he has been the one in the past making the trips to Aus, well we know how that’s worked out so yeh I guess not to be trusted anymore.

When you own the majority shares in a company you can make whatever decisions you like. I'd prefer a knowledgeable RL professional making the choice I must admit.... but if the only job is to lure Holbrook with a stellar deal and assurances then the owner is best placed and will have all the skills. He is no mug.

Someone posted on one of the threads last night that Williams and Ashton looking to get out of their contracts.

Well rumour started that Wigan have agreed a £450,000 transfer fee for Williams.
