| Happy wife, happy life.
He helped save us from relegation and has carried us with a pack with injuries.
Can’t ask anymore from him if the rumour is true.

| I'm hoping our CEO is putting all his efforts into ensuring Paul Vaughan's wife and kids are happy!!

| Quote fez1="fez1"Injuries show the value of having a strong squad - as opposed to 1st 17.
I've said before but I thought DP had recruited one too many prop.
In most years that would be the case, but not this one.
Having said that, it's not just us that have injuries. Off the top of my head there's Leigh, Salford, Hull KR, Saints, Saints, Saints and Saints.
Did I happen to mention that Saints have multiple injuries?
Or at least that's what I'm told.......'"
I think I spotted a very camouflaged comment about the injuries at Saints, but you really should have mentioned the number of suspensions they've been unjustly handed by the RFL disciplinary committee.

Resigning Ritchie Myler would be a big mistake.

| Compared to last season TM has been incredible - so would be a shame if it’s true, but I suppose that’s the risk you take with players from the other side of the world.
It was all going a bit too well wasn’t it…

Completely this.
He's been a great signing IMO, pretty sure he carried on playing whilst injured last season but like you say was a real lift for the squad and fans when he came in. Looks a real player so far this season so would be a big miss IMO. We still have Vaughan, kasiano, dudson, bullock, philbin and Thomas, so its not all doom and gloom hy any stretch of the imagination. Maguire and harrison could play prop too but I prefer them for 13 or 2nd row really.
Would it free up any cap space? or is that allocated regardless? Just thinking of maybe an addition towards the end of the season like dufty, mikaele and Wardle last season.

Theoretically, we hold his contract, so if he went home seeking a new NRL club, then some sort of fee would have to be arranged and that then would free up a squad & cap space, surely?
If we were to just accept his homesickness reason and let him go without sorting out arrangements with regards to being able to replace him, then that would be both naive and stupid?

| Well I didn’t think I’d be typing this at the start of the season but I think he’ll be a very big loss. Doubt we’d be able to get someone of his current calibre in pretty quick.

| Quote Lord Tony Smith="Lord Tony Smith"Was told last night that big Tommy Mikaele is off after the Hull game because his wife is homesick.
Apparently he agreed to stay until McGuire came back. Hopefully it isn’t true as he’s been immense this year.'"
No one else as said it yet but if it’s just his wife that’s homesick can’t he just stay and see the season out.
It’s not like they can’t see each other with all the different types of media these days, not like back in my day when you was waiting for one of those air mail envelopes from a pen pal
