I get grief off Salford fans so Salford top the hate list for me. Normally it's along the lines of "Why do you support Warrington when you live in Urmston?", ignoring the fact that it takes as longer to get to the Willows by public transport than it does to Warrington.
Saying that, I once got grief off a bloke in a pub in Sale who thought Wire were Sale Sharks' local rivals...
I still struggle with the conecpt of having to hate somebody because they are from a different town than I am.
Of the teams I'm 'supposed' to hate, being from Warrington, I probably have more trouble 'liking' Widnes, but by no means do I hate them. I am somewhat bemused by the attitude and behaviour of a number of their townfolk; some seem to have a real chip on their shoulder. I do have a strong dislike for some people I have encountered there whilst playing rugby, but that is due to their personality and I have enountered similar elsewhere. Widnes, however, remains the only town I have seen a fully grown man berate a little old lady because of the rugby team she supports.
One thing that grates at me with Sintelluns, in rugby terms, is the SkySports love-in that anyone who plays for Saints is "a GB certainty for the future" - Scott Moore, Kyle Eastmond, et al. That, however, isn't the fault of the Sintelluns public, nor even the lads themselves, it's just bleeding annoying.
Wigan.. Well, I actually love Wigan as a town and there are very few Wiganers I have come across and didn't like. There's banter there in rugby terms, but, for me at least, nothing mallicious.
There are people that I consider good friends who support those three teams, too.
While we're sharing the love, I'd like to point out that my two favourite (other) rugby towns are Leigh and Castleford.
In fact, if anything, I have had more difficulty at times liking some Wire 'fans', but I suppose familiarity can breed contempt at times. *
*Don't take this and turn it into a big issue, no doubt we've all seen someone at the matches and thought Very funny, but keep it clean please!.
Good post that on the whole. I am like yourself in some ways, I can't understand the concept of hating somebody because they live in somewhere you don't. For example, one of my best mate's girlfriends is from Orford and a smashing bird like. I have a few mate's from across the other side of Penketh, I don't let silly rugby things get in the way of that.
As for rugby, hand on Heart I don't really think I hate any club collectively although we may chant and sing about them on matchday. I know several lads in the 30-50 age bracket who say they hate Warrington passionately, mainly due to various bouts of crowd violence and so on, but that era is long gone and the halycon days of the 70's and 80's and a big contrast from today's family game.
Have to say I am not massively fond on Hull KR fans, as they have been quite hostile ON OCCASION, but like I say I don't hate them collectievly as it probably a minority looking for trouble.
The game we sent them down at their ground was one of the happiest days of my life, 68 16 was it?? I've got an old phone somewhere with a picture of the score board from that day
I was gutted they didn't get back into super league and that we've not had them in the cup. You can't hate what's not there!
I also hate them because they have got Cullen & Toa, they went into administration and f***ed up our boxing day challenge.
They smell, they have a poop bridge that's green and always has some idiot trying to jump off it (which they never do, just cause traffic chaos)
Their cheerleaders are fitter than ours, their KFC is actually closer to where I live than Winwick Road and I love a KFC.
Sorry to be pedantic, but you're wrong, but only by 0.2 miles. . Although I would probably avoid KFC like the plague, seeing as you're from Penketh try that 'anmol' restaraunt or whatever it is called.
They should 'deliver' IMO. I hate the chicken they do ( I know that defeats the object ). The chips have a lot going for them though. Mcdonalds chips are a farce, I don't mind a bit of Salt tbut they feel the need to take it to another extreme.

The Chips are the worst thing about KFC, there not good. The Ketchup and Chicken is good however.

Would prefer a chinese at moment though.
Good call, BBQ spare ribs to start with. Maybe chicken & sweetcorn soup and then main course chicken with Pineapple, specify NO ONIONS though. Onions are food of the devil. scummy onions.
