| This is the first Mick Potter signing and it seems he is going for a Bradford Power style of play. This guys a big unit with pace. Not sure where this leaves Saints kids?

We don't currently have a young player who could play well enough to take the position permanently so this signing is ideal. We are still bringing plenty of our players up through the system and one signing isn't really going to change that.

Yep, from what I've seen, he's been better in the back row.

| Sia Soliola seems to be a big battering ram from what ive seen of him, as centres go he certainly isn`t a ball player, he isn`t a nimble footed centre either and i wouldn`t call him a wingers centre like a Matt Gidley or Martin Gleeson. I`m quite happy about this because to me Soliola comes across as a bit of a David Kidwell, a big bloke that can play centre or in the back row but is nothing flash.

| In last year's test between NZ & Aus, did he play right centre and had a pretty good game linking up with Sonny-Bill?
Pretty sure it was him.

This must be the first big transfer news for 2010. So when does open season begin with regard to transfers for next year?
I wonder which big name signings our board have up their sleeve.'"

Turn it in. Name one player Saints have released who has gone on to glory elsewhere? Ermm.....
No one at Saints suffers from this at all. We only really have Foster who is a realistic shot at getting a centre spot in the academy. Wheeler might end up there, but still Soliola arriving could easily see Gidley, Gilmour, Cayless etc leave.
