I think Dupree will be coming in with one player (Prop) potentially leaving with immediate effect so in reality he will be no worse off, plus Dupree is a current England international not a bang average 9/13 who cannot get into the team at the bottom of the tables starting 17….but yes, it’s the same.

Holbrook hunted by Super League clubs
Axed Titans coach Justin Holbrook could be back as a head coach within months - in Super League.
Several NRL clubs are keen to sign Holbrook as an assistant coach after Gold Coast's shock decision to sack him last month - and not just because of the get-out clauses which could allow Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and David Fifita to leave the club.

Holbrook is highly regarded in club-land despite his lack of success with the Titans - but is even better thought of in England.
Holbrook had three years with the St Helens club, guiding them to the 2019 minor premiership by a staggering 16 points, before winning the grand final.
Saints are just one of several Super League clubs believed to be keen to talk to Holbrook.

Can't see it Wellens definitely there this year, possibly I could see him replacing their attack coach or a director of rugby role, but you want to be an assistant in a club you used to run.
I think it's more likely he gets an assistant NRL role

I hope we don't. It's clearly not working. But there's a risk on going too soon too. There have been a lot of mitigating factors for Wellens this season. I hope we're going to look at it at the end of the season with full hindsight of the level of promise he's showing.

A clever move would be to hire Holbrook as a Director of Rugby or similar. He's there to support Wellens, but also the perfect person to replace him if that does become the solution.

I would guess there isn't anything in the links to us. I think this is his agent and possibly Justin himself getting the word out there about his availability, with Moley even possibly knowing that and helping a mate out. He seems to do a lot of that.

I can’t see how it does, Powell won’t be involved in the deal itself, Powell is clearly aware of the opportunity and has probably spoken to Mikaele as to whether he would be interested etc, getting the deal over the line is more board level than Powell though, as it will be discussions with Gold Coast about a release and Mikaele himself for personal terms, that I would expect is outside of Powells (and every managers) remit.

I didn't really think it showed KFP has total control. To me it showed a man who isn't telling much as nothing is sealed.
