Because you should support your home town team or nearest town team.

Technically Geordie should support Gateshead Thunder.

As for Cockney, im not sure where his roots are so i cant suggest a team for him to support.

Also, I think that if you are born and bred you have that little bit more passion.

Im not suggesting Geordie or Cockneys passion is lacking, far from it. I just think it makes a difference.

Between Bad Friday 2005 and some point in late 2007, I went on a surge of trying to post on every thread (unintentionally of course), which boosted my numbers.

I'd be up around 20,000 by now if some of my drivel hadn't have been deleted along the way.

I understand your point however i lived in the North East until I was 14 and up until that point I didn't know Rugby League existed, Gateshead Thunder certainly didn't!

I moved to Warrington 18 years ago and was introduced to Rugby League a short time later.

I have actually lived in Warrington longer than I did in the North East and this is my home, I have adopted it Warts and all.

So with Gateshead not existing when I lived in the North East do you still stand by your statement?
