I was speaking to Hairy Barry (who has good contacts) last night and he said this might be a goer - 2 year deal apparently. Monaghan is deffo going back to Sydney.

I just think it's the structured style of play in the NRL that suits him, and other NRL halves that come here, as oppose to our 'off the cuff' attack orientated game. Lee Briers shines because he has an insanely quick RL brain, his speed of thought is uncanny, possibly too quick for his own good at times.

Thats the difference in professionalism. If Briers had made the sacrifices like Goulding and Long he would have enjoyed a long career with the Saints, but he chose beer.
