This is a poor take, in my opinion. I suspect you know that, and I suspect this is the old Stan Collymore TalkSport bait approach. But if you genuinely have no agenda, you’d be going after another NRL import who didn’t get sent off after only 11 minutes and only contributed 7 more tackles and 11 more meters.
It’s self evident that Vaughan is our best prop, and is in the top handful in the league. 1 red and 1 yellow from 11 penalties conceded, with the reds both this year and last being technical fouls not malicious intent, I think it’s a sweeping overreaction and/or just a bit clueless.
Thanks to Cokey's Vaughan link, I also listened to Burgess's post match comments and I have to agree with the boss. I actually think that this game and Burgess's reaction will serve to galvanize us as a team going forward.
Composure is the correct terminology Captain and I must say that I'm a tad disappointed in some reactions on here bagging players for their mistakes last night. High intensity game played with 12 men against opponents that have generally given us trouble in all kinds of ways with their ex Wire contingent finding the performance percentages that might have seen some of them still here (I wouldn't have any of them back BTW) and a win for them at all costs absolutely essential.
Yes, King had a poor game, but I think that he will be the first to admit that and I think his attitude now under the current regime will be hands up and how can I make amends rather than I can't be bothered.
I think that we are a different animal this year, one that we've not seen for a dozen years or so and I'm sure whatever happens we won't crumble and fizzle out in the play offs
Couldn’t agree more about the criticism, and for all King’s mistakes he kept taking the ball in from on our line which must have taken its toll later on.
Red card was ridiculous , it’s like the commentary team are saying us humans are too stupid to ref games these days and we now need AI and VR . This is ruining the game , it’s a physical game played at a fast pace , these things are going to happen . This wasn’t like when Bob Jackson broke Stu Pugsleys jaw (over a year out) at Wilderspool in the 90s and didn’t even get a card .
Leigh where scrappy , poor execution, not sure I agree they were offside all game , might have looked that way as it was 13 v12 . I would say it was probably a moral victory for wire and the Leigh crowd we're flat too , tells us nothing about how Leigh will do against the top clubs unless we rely on bad decisions every week . Tyler Wray looks like a potential superstar in the making , you don’t see too many players with that explosiveness.
I agree we were scrappy, and our execution was poor, It's been like that quite a lot this season. If Moylan is on it, the game has gone by half time; 'ifs & buts'. Anyway, Irrespective whether it was red or not, it's easy for Sam to say it's embarrassing when it's your team getting the red, and say nothing when it happens to your opposition. For me, All coaches need to get together , and have some kind of dialogue as to what they are feeling, and come to some agreed outcome about decisions regarding contact to the head. In my view, It should've been yellow, and if Trout fails his HIA, it becomes a red due to the fact that Leigh lose a man (in this case) for 70 minutes, and Trout misses at least the next game.
Should it be that the VR is not allowed to listen sky commentators as not to be influenced? Wells was prolific with his criticism of Vaughan until he sent off.

Sam didn't say nothing and called it embarrassing when Hull were given a straight red earlier in the season against us. He is not a hypocrite.
I would be certain they do , or they have an idea of which way the commentary is being influenced, reason I say this is because the commentary team appear to be saying " its a certain red , he's got to go off the field " . While I am sat there thinking WTF are they watching ? This is on many occasions . Rarely do they speak common sense or seem to remember that they did far worse as players . Would be nice to see Vaughan come out and say that he agrees with the rules but they have to be applied with some sort of common sense . If you take the rules to the extreme all front row players would be red carded after every scrum as there is always contact with the head.
