im past caring about all this now.

bottom line is he was rubbish in his 'pomp'.... he certainly wont be any better now after being bombed out by Leeds, Hull KR and Castleford.

The sooner we all put this hilarious episode behind us the better.

Come on, if he was "rubbish" why did he play for the most successful SL club side under 3 different coaches during his "pomp"? You may not like him but I think calling him "rubbish" is a bit wide of the mark.

yea ok, he is brilliant...... what a great signing this is....all hail tony smith and his recruitment policy.

That's the problem with you lot.....no he isn't brilliant but neither is he rubbish . He's a good 3rd/4th choice prop that has proven he can do A JOB especially defensively. View him that way instead of wetting your pants demanding him to be as good as Hill or Peacock because of his "niggle".

a) #1 fan
b) dad/son
c) stalker, with his picture on your bedroom ceiling, hoping for a bluetac failure.

What's troubling the majority of the naysayers on here, is that in the space of 12-24 months, he's been jibbed off by Leeds, HKR and Cas, and at 31, he aint gonna get any better. I'm sure you'll agree that's not exactly a glowing testimonial, for someone that Leeds fans rate so highly.

Add to this, his pooh house reputation, surely you can see why we're hacked off.

Smith really is at a tipping point in his Wire tenure. His efforts of the last couple of seasons are undoing all the good work of his achievements up to the retirement/leaving of Briers, Morley, Carvell etc. We need a good start to the season, or it's going to be a long slog.

I'm not saying that either. Just calling for a bit of balance and reason.

if he doesn't work out he won't get game time. If the teams recruitment and results turn out to be poor Smith will be replaced.

Just happened to catch a bit Jeremy Kyle at dinner time & who should be on stage but the ugly, irritating scouse bint who was on Benefits Street. Now she would intimidate opposition forwards and make Bailey look like a pussy cat.

If you drop the Street word, I am convinced you're talking about a fair proportion of the female population of Liverpool here. Throw in St Helens and Widnes too. Of course, none of them have relocated to Warrington yet or have they?

That's spot on.

Boyd was as hard as hell and could be a real nasty piece of work but he mixed it with others of his ilk.
He could change the course of a game.

Bailey is big and niggles. He has picked on the small guys throughout his career.
If he sticks to playing rugby and really takes the ball in against the opposition then he could be a useful acquisition. That's the way he'll win me over.
