No matter how the current situation is batted from pillar to post,it is all down to poor management either at team level or boardroom level, with the board having to be ultimately responsible with neglecting what has been going on in front of their eyes on the pitch.
Tony Smith was brought in as a messiah &, for a few seasons, he brought something different to the team but he has taken his eye of the ball for the last few seasons & the club is now looking over a cliff. Recent team building has been dire & the few players that were doing a job for us up to a few years ago have moved on ,sometimes acrimoniously, & not been replaced with similar quality.
As much as anyone, the directors need to take a long hard look in the mirror & question their purpose at the club ,apart from a box & free tickets. The way the club is being run at present is alarming considering the directors should be business savvy.
