Sadly life and rugby are not that neat. Wigan wanted Gleeson before he was cup tied. If the board were to have asked them to wait while we find another centre they'd have withdrawn their offer. Given that Gleeson could leave for free in six months time taking the money on the table - without yet knowing who to spend it on - was the right move.

Gleeson was contracted until the end of 2010, not 2009, and could only be released prior to that by mutual consent.

Personally I dont care when Gleeson was contracted till or how much we got for him.

The best thing the club did is just get shut of him.

am only posting what i hear, and what i know, its for debate.

People say things, and they make all these rumours up about people doing this and people doing that. But yet they make no attempt to back it up.

That's why whenever I hear something (which I have done recently that is 100% true), I don't come on here sniggering to myself thinking, "Oooh, I'll put a little taster of something that is a load of crap, and see how many people beg me to let them know what is "allegedly" going on."

With stuff like that, you keep quiet, because at the end of the day, it's nothing to do with anyone to try and score points from it is just pathetic.

If that's what you construe as "teasing", then you must obviously be easily pleased.

Anyway, SBW. How true it is, I'm not so sure. Would be a very interesting signing if it does turn out like that. Though he does seem to have off field issues and he's also pretty injury prone.
