Look no further than Cullen for that answer I think.

No he is just a violent offender who subjected a woman to a physical assault! Let's cheer for him as an idol for our children? Not. Well done to the whole management team for this.

Is that what you took out of my reply????

I also think that people should read the detail of the incident.

Again, what he did was very wrong and the club are right to sack him but I for one hopes he gets a chance to atone for his mistakes.

Kevin Penny needs to be shipped out on-loan to someone to enable him to gain some experience and re-build his shattered confidence, he`s not going to gain any of this being thrown in to the first team, then dropped for weeks on end, every time he has a bad game. On the flip-side, Warrington cant afford to keep him in the first team, regardless of mistakes, brain-f@rts etc, constant game time is what he needs to enable him to develop as a player, when he has developed.... Bring him back and reap the rewards. A loan period will be invaluable to us, but more importantly, "to Kevin Penny himself"!!!

I think he'll build his confidence (Not sure where this fragile confidence thing comes from given his body language for the reserves, but anyhow), I think he'll build his confidence playing in a successful reserve side as oppose to becoming a massive target in NL1, where you'd imagine there'd be a few folk waiting to knock him about a bit.

I also think that the reserves will be made, maybe the wrong word 'made', the reserves will start to mimic the first team, and you'll get a situation where structures defensively, attacking moves etc are similar to the first team, so it'll be all part of his education, readying him for first team action and bridging the gap between the two.

He'll also currently be part of the most proffesional set up coaching wise he's had to date in his fledgling career, so i'm sure it'll benefit him being around this culture, training harder, pushing himself. I think we've covered before he lacks nothing in enthusiasm to do well for this club, why take him away from this enviornment, leave him be, let him be a sponge for a bit, the door is hardly slammed shut in his face, he's probably about one first team injury to a back away from featuring.

I don't really see what you stand to gain by sending Kev to NL1, a young forward yeah, get him some gametime, up against 'men', men who'll rough you up, big eye opener etc, sure, I get that. For Penny, I don't see the merit.

I just think we've got to be a little patient with Penny now. He was fast-tracked to our first team and made a massive impression. He was then blamed for alot of our problems, unfairly, and finds himself out of the first team. Smith since taking over has pretty much adopted a safety first approach, understandably so, given we were letting in 40 pts a week., you get your strongest defensive unit on the park, make yourself as solid as possible, and build on that, if you can reduce the number od points you opposition score, you'll give yourself a chance. I'm sure, given time, we'll become 'better to watch' or more fluent.

The one thing that gives me hope, is that TS has said openly, that he only wants players who are 100% commited to this club, so with that in mind, I know that Kevin has a massive future for us.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

I can only assume he has been fired by the club and there is a clause in his contract that lets us do this. This should mean we have his salary back on the cap.

With his departure and that of Gleeson I would expect Smith to bring someone else in soon.

I am not sure sacking him was the right thing. There are plenty of clubs with players who have the wrong sort of 'form'; two on display last night at the Piedome, who were not fired. The only similar thing I can remember was when Phil Ford was sold after getting lagered up and nicking Bob Eccles car. (showing my age again)

I still find it hilarious at the stick Kevin Penny still gets on here. I am sure under TS his career will flourish. He has a talent I have not seen for many years and I cant wait to see him in the first team again.
