If you know about F1 then you will know how much time Glock lost in the final lap due to him being on dry tyres when it was pissing down. he lost 18 seconds on dry tyres, nothing to do with he let Hamilton through. Glocks team chose the wrong option. If it had not rained again, Hamilton would have cruised home. Hamilton did nearly blow it, god knows how much pressure he was under to bring that home today but he did it in the end.
Well done Lewis
Yes your talking of small margins here and i mean small margins, Hamilton was within 2 corners of losing the world championship when he should never have been in that position in the first place. Its no coincedence that for 2 years running now he has almost managed to blow the world title twice, my main point isn`t about Glock as a driver or his teams tactics. The point is about Hamilton, he takes risks when he shouldn`t and it gets him into trouble, today he almost came to blows with another car after an overtaking maneuver that he didn`t need to risk at the time, if that had been a more aggressive driver like Alonso that he was trying to overtake then he would have been forced off the racing line and into the really wet part of the track and more than likely off the track itself and probably out of the world title race.
He should never have been in the position where with just 2 corners to go of the grand prix that he was throwing away the world title at the time, his team and car are far too good to be in that position, all he had toi do was finish 5th andf he should have comfortably done that in a McLaren.

I think this is what most non-fans don't get about F1.....
Look, Hamilton may be a good driver, but ultimately the fact he is in the best car is the major factor, so why all the glory for Swiss Lewis? (or whoever happens to win).
Let's be honest, however good Swiss Lewis is, if me and him had a race, and he was in a Ford Fiesta, and I was in a Porsche, I reckon I'd whoop his candyass, which would make me World Champ??..
Heikki kovalainen has been in the same car as Lewis and has been poor this season, you obviously don't watch the sport so don't make ridicules comments on it you just look stupid.

The same car??...Bloomin' heck, I ain't surprised he's struggled if him and Swiss Lewis have been riding tandem all year!!
Big kudos to Hamilton then for taking the title...I never realised the true extent of his disadvantage, compared to Ferrari.
I've had enough, lets not go down the shouting for the coaches head route, Brians done a fantastic job. He took the club over in dificult circumstances and the team punched well above there weight in the play offs. We've got to be realistic, our glory days have gone, we're no longer a Saints, Leeds or a Warrington.
But again, it comes down to the car....If ALL the drivers were in the same car would Swiss Lewis still come out on top??
Damon Hill once won the title, beating Schumacher, yet let's be honest, Hill wasn't fit to wipe the German's backside....it was down to the car. My main gripe isn't against Swiss Lewis personally, its the superstar status these guys attain, when its actually the car doing all the work.
Utter bo$$ocks. if so, what happened to Kovalainen? If the car did all the work, we would have Ferrari's & Mercs 1-2 every race. Kovalainen has done sod all in that car so the driver must have some input. What about Alonso? Pound for pound, he is the best driver out there, give him a decent car and unfortunately, he will blow them all away. Alonso has being getting consistent results in a crap renault and his team mate cant even make the top 10 shoot outs for pole usually. The driver has a big say in the car - he sets the thing up for one!

So Alonso is actually the real Champ??...I'm confused...

what utter toss. put most drivers in that car and they would do well yes, but the input from the driver is crucial, can't be doing with all this Hamilton hating. Never lovin happy are we. Well done Lewis, future legend.

Doesnt take much with your obvious lack of knowledge postings on F1. Cant believe you try and kick a British champion down before the ink is dry on the records of it.

And anyone who watches and follows F1 on a regular basis knows how poor a driver Heikki Kovalainen is given the equipment he has at his mercy, he should be getting consistent podium finishes where as sometimes you think he has stopped at a roadside cafe for a bacon sarnie given his times.
