Why did the club leave it so long before getting Livett back?

He could have been very useful for todays game. I’m guessing he isn’t cup tied either!

Couldn't agree more . Players could have played in more settled positions with him starting at 12

You never know. Hudds may not have wanted to part or Wire pursuing other options. They always had too many players in their squad.

Re. Livett. I spoke to guy in pub not long after Harvey left, who claimed to be his dad. Asked him why he'd left, in a nutshell said he never stood a chance under Price as he had no faith in the kids. Given Powell's rep for bringing the best out of average players, maybe not such a bad idea?

I don't suppose it matters much more that curiosity. It's not a transformative signing if true anyway.
