i couldn't see the signing happening this season anyway... why would we sign a stand off when we have just given briers another year?.... doesn't make sense.

Hopefully that's true. Better that he stays at Cas than strengthen Leeds or Wire.

Well there are a few things that may or may not be at play here. But regardless of that, he would not be universally popular with the Wire fans. Whether you sign him or not maybe immaterial, if he leaves Cas then he will need a new visa me thinks for a new place of work. With the recent court guilty verdict in Austrailia this may mean he is stuck at Cas until he goes home as a new visa application for a new place of work may very well be declined, given the recent rulings by immegration. If Wire did get him it would be a great signing. IMHO
