I don't think he offers enough. The only player he has beat in about his last twenty games is Michael Platt. Also I would be suprised if he went to rugby union as whenever I watch it the ref is always shouting at ebvery tackle "stay on your feet"; so that would be Hicks knackered, goes down far too easily.
I'm sure we could bring better in or would receive better value from playing home grown players such as Riley, Penny, Williams and Evans.
Having said that he's been a decent signing and will do a decent job no doubt for the remainder of this season but at his age next year wingers tend to struggle to continmue to make an impact. |

Put it this way, even at Hicks' age I'd rather have him ahead of Micheal Monaghan and Matt King for next year.

It is fair to say that if we are going to keep him, it needs to be as an out and out winger. His is below average at fb for me, whereas he is a good standard winger.
With Riley and Mathers there now though, hopefully he will not have to cover in future.

Depends if you mean, for what we're 'probably' paying them and value to the cap. On an out and out comparison I don't think you can really compare the two, yes Hicks has lost a few yards but jeesus, the guys a monster for a winger, he benches about 160kg+  and cant be far off 16 stone |
