Potentially, yes, although I think I remember reading that the salary cap value of a player you have signed from another club mid season, cant be lower than the value of his current contract. So if Lui was on £80k at Salford, we couldn’t pay him £50k in year one then £100k in years 2 and 3 as his year one deal would be lower than his current contract. His salary cap value in year one would have to be at least £80k.
