1.you've no idea how he came to the conclusion "the game was there for the taking at half time"???? you were winnning by 2 points...TWO
2.last season good sides put 50 on us not 18
3.how did Prices record compare with Holbrooks...Price was assistant for two grand final wins, Holbrook none. price was offered the coaching job of an NRL team Holbrook none.
4. correct Wire only beat teams who are poor, Jet-lagged, full of kids, tired or riddled with disease.
5. and Peyroux ...well I Leave this from saddened back in August 2015
1. If you look at the 2 games before, against Hudds and Salford, the score was tight at half time and in the second half our quality told. You’d had more of the ball in dangerous and we defended with considerable ease, Wire look absolutely clueless and in the end score a try that shouldn’t have stood. We were hardly there for the taking at all.
2. No one put 50 on you last season, this is a new season and you can at least defend properly (in parts) this year and I’d say an 18 point margin is more than convincing and that’s without playing well.
3. Firstly being an assistant coach is completely different to being a head coach so that’s a pointless comparison, Cunningham was assistant to Brown when we won the GF in 2014 and is now regarded as one of our worst head coaches so that’s another poor comparison. Also, I’d rather have someone who hasn’t yet had the opportunity to be a head coach in the NRL than someone with a 37% win record and is regarded as an awful head coach by St George fans. To appoint someone with that record is completely idiotic.
4. Nothing more to add.
5. That quote is 2 and a half years old, believe it or not a lot can change in that amount of time. Peyroux was terrible at the time of that and pretty much every Saints fan would agree he was arguably one of the worst players to play for us. However, in the last 8-9 months he’s improved massively and there’s not one Wire fan who could deny that he’s made a better start to the season than BMM who has looked poor at best. Same can be said for Thompson and Hill, close to 18 months Hills been nowhere near his best.
