People on this forum hold local players or long standing players in to much of a high regard, doesn't matter if they were born in Longford or Lithuania, played 10 years or 10 mins, if your not good enough then your not good enough.

You do know that Tony Smith picked him for international honours don't you? People seem to think that Smith doesn't rate him. I don't know where this comes from.

Bobbins

Realistically in the past, homegrown players have been overlooked by those on the terraces in favour of big name aussies.

Either way the guy has given the best years of his life to our club and whether we think he was any good or noth should be thanked for that aspect alone.
