Ffs I've heard it all now.Heard Smith this morning on WireFm saying the boys are shattered + need a good rest.Try working 10hrs 5 days a week for living getting up at 5.30 every morning.The man should release his own book of excuses.Easily fill 300 pages.

I understand your frustration, but in my view these 2 games in A long weekend is too much. The demands made on a rugby players body at that level are so intense.
Whilst it is the same for every team that doesn't make it right.
If we want to see quality games then Easter needs to go to 1 game and Magic either needs to go completely or be part of the regular season. The high incidence of injuries we are seeing at present for all teams is no coincidence.
I am not saying that this justifies the position we are in because it clearly doesn't.

Do you honestly think he'd have moaned if we'd had won 1 or both of them games?Not a chance.He should man up + just say we're shlte at the moment instead of excuse after excuse.The man is peeving me off big time.

To be fair I think he has always said 2 games at Easter is too much.

2 games at Easter used to be too much for the boys who worked 5 or 6 days a week then played at weekends.

So for once a year at Easter they play for 2hrs + 40 mins + he say's they're shattered.That to me is an insult to the proper grafters like nurses + doctors who prob do 50-60 hours week in week out.I wouldn't mind if this lot have tried but the last two heavy defeats gives me the impression they've been ambling around on the pitch so saying the players are shattered doesn't wash with me.

ninearches it was too much back then, I hope we have moved on. You will recall all too well players playing with "pain killing injections " who knows what damage was caused and hopefully we have moved on.
Runningman, I don't think it is valid to compare the work doctors and nurses do with the physical demands that playing a game of rugby at the highest level makes. I am not denigrating health care professionals efforts in anyway in saying this.
