I would very much doubt this, as accusations from Charnley would be more widespread than just McGuire. The only facts that I know of are that McGuire was banned for using a disability derogatory word in the preseason match against Leigh. I've heard the rumour of what that word was, and the census of opinion on this board was that 7 games seemed to be harsh. That's the second fact, as appropriate punishment set by the RFL (whether we agreed with it, or not). If Maguire has not learnt from kicking his heels in the stands for that length of time, and has come out with the same, or similar, then there is nobody else to blame but himself.

As has already been posted by others, innocent until proved guilty, but if it's the latter, then there should be no place in our team for such an individual.

I'm not buying into this... Yes he definitely did this the first time... But twice....with the same player ..having been warned by the club??!!... if true He's arguably very stupid and needs sacking or alternatively the other player is very manipulative and needs to be brought to task for bringing the game into disrepute

I agree with the latter.

I was brought up with the mantra "sticks and stones" so I don't believe naughty words on a pitch deserve more of a ban than smashing into a head with an elbow or shoulder. Especially words that were common place in the British lexicon until recently (indeed it is a medical term).

However this is the world as it now stands and we can't be paying cap space for a player that is banned more often than he plays.

Of course I hope he did not do what he was accused of.
