Leigh is only interested in keeping the kind of relationship we have had over the past few years, where as to make the most of this new fangled partnership thing it needs to be more than that.
Fair enough, perhaps I was reading a bit more into it than necessary and must admit i havent quite gotten my head around any 'formality' involved in the new arrangements over and above last years' effort and the previous one involving the Chris Hill signing[/quote]
With Leigh it was an informal thing, Leigh paid to have players on dual contract to fill in the gaps, which of course had benefits for us too, McCarthy, Mitchell and Blythe came on leaps and bounds under Basil in 2010. Leigh want to carry that kind of relationship on next year, and are going to do so with Wigan, who they have had lads off over the years. Trevor Barton, Leigh's Chief Exec says the club doesn't want to enter into a formal partnership with a SL Club because they have their own ambitions.
