bridge outstanding in the centres,he today has solved the conundrum of which is his best position.in five years he'll make a good loose forward but in the future he'll make a cracking centre.today just highlights what a good deal we got out of selling gleeson,a 100k,a decent fullback and we already have a quality replacement on the books, magic.

Was great at centre today, you can tell its his natural postion.

Wire on the Telly do you still maintain that Johnson is more of a winger than Bridge is a centre?

Yes. One swallow doesn't make a summer. And that was last week. Glad he played well and can kick on.

Johnson is a forward, Bridge is a back who's best postion happens to be centre. HTH.

The corner would not have needed turning if the club had had a half decent coach from day 1.

lets not rake over old ground.

it will only open up freshly healed wounds and cause alot of grief and heartache.

lets focus on the soon to be good times ahead :D

Non-believers. Some of our play today was super, interspersed with the odd mistake, but the tackling in the main was superb and the forwards were making a lot of ground. Loved Ra Ras break, and Briers was orchestrating play throughout.
Monaghan had one of his best games that I can recall, and all the backs were prepared to make the hard yards in defence.
The only fly in the ointment for me is Clarke's performance. His decision making is poor and his passing slow and predictable, if he is not losing the ball in the tackle.
Overall a good performance against a team riding high in the league, with even better things to come when we can maintain our consistency and fluid movement.
Think you have summed it up very well, but we will miss briers and will end up with more forwards playing in back positions unless Mathers goes into Centre and Riley stays at full-back and Bridge moves to half-back.

For me we have yet to turn the corner, we are making good strides but we need to put a good run of wins together, this years league is very unpredictable but we should win next week, then a win in the cup and we should beat a Hull Fc side who are struggling at the moment.

We win 5 from 5 and were getting there, still think there is a lot of work to be done but ultimately it will get done.

Over the years we have turned more corners than your average Indy Car driver does in a season. I'm not sure that I'll believe that we have truly 'Turned the Corner' until we win something, and even then I'll still have my doubts.

How exactly 'should' we beat Hull KR. They are currently second in SL, to say we 'should' beat them is doing them a huge dis-service.

I was impressed by Bridge at centre and wouldn't move him at the moment, but Paul Johnson has an excellent track record as a right centre so it's completely wrong to write him off as a forward only.
