I agree with Geordie here, Cullen wanted certain players out, you can tell that by what the player said immediatly after Cull went and how Cull has reacted to that player on TV since.
Facts are the players still with us, Culls gone, Lowes is out and in Smiths first game we let in 60 points. Its early days but whats the common denominator here.... the player (and a few others of course).
Cull wanted them out because they did not show the commitment to the cause, one player inparticular has openly said he hates Warrington to live, the fans and the club, but he is still here playing week in week out and taking the money.
It seems to me that when Cullen openly wanted Matt Orford, did'nt get him and the board panic and get another no.7 that the new player reacted 1stly against Cull and now against the club.
There needs to be a big clear-out at Wire.... players not coaches!!!!!!!
Come on you know nothing about Tony Smith yet you just instantly believe he will sort it. How "strong" was Tony Smith in his role as England Coach?
Paul Cullens answer on Boots'n'All was one of the smartest answers I've ever heard from a pundit.
Basically he told you everything you need to know without actually naming names.
So I will spell it out. You have a board who don't listen and don't action what the coaching staff require. I don't know but I suspect that some of your directors consider themselves RL men and have far to much of a say in who gets signed, let go, paid to much, paid to little and shown to much respect. Again I don't know but I can imagine some star struck hangers on are so impressed by certain players they become mates and thus factions are created. It's an old problem in our game and it's the reason why money doesn't always bring success.
Cullen may not be Wayne Bennett but he is a decent coach, however to me he has had the look of a man who knew he was being undermined from above and below for a while. If you think Smith will fair any better long term you may well be disappointed.
That is a lot of guess work there sir. Well for some you know nothing about.

Jesus, you got all that from Cullen saying 'I have given all of the advice to the Warrington club I'm ever going to give'?
To be fair, you do acknowledge that you 'don't know' a few times. Although, again, to be fair, that was obvious from your post.
Getting England to win the RL world cup is like trying to get Ireland to win the football equivalent. It won't happen as the players aren't good enough. As for knowing nothing about Smith, he did a great job at Huddersfield which is why some of their fans are still bitter about him leaving. He turned Leeds into Champions and has won more grand finals than Daniel Anderson who everybody raved about.

Am I the only person in the world who doesnt know who the player/s is/are.
The way every reporter, ex-player, non related players, commentators, jokes like Offiah, Eddie constant pushing of Cull to spill all, people'in the know' on here go on, you'd think there was something deeply sinister going on at the club that everybody knows to be fact but are too afraid to say openly for fear of being whacked by a member of the Corleone family.
The continual secrecy does nobody any good at all as it puts all players and everyone at the club under suspicion, whether guilty or totally innocent parties. If I was there and innocent I would be incredibly racked off that the guilty were being shielded.
knock knock
Oh dear, I've just had a horses head delivered.

Nay lad Nay, I think you'll find thats Lowes Head.
Eddie Hemmings does this town no favours imo, we had his Briers for Britain campaign that was cringeworthy at times, his bias towards this town is plainly obvious to any neutral watching rugby league on sky.
His love for Paul Cullen holds no bounds, does anyone remember an episode of "I`m Alan Partridge" called "To kill a mocking bird" ?
It was the episode where Alan`s best fan Jed Maxwell had a room in his house that was a shrine to Alan Partridge with photos and posters that filled the walls as per below
It wouldn`t suprise me one bit if Eddie`s house had the Paul Cullen lounge.
