I don't know mate.

Most Super League teams getting lower league opposition, apart from 4 who will play each other. Makes 2 games.........two games that the BBC wanted so that they could show all Super League affairs.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.......;)

Last time I went to Post Office Road Mike Nicholas got sent off in the first minute for attempted murder on Jimmy Thompson!! On his way from the field he waved to the Warrington crowd and after being loudly cheered and applauded stopped and bowed!!................Those were the days!!

There was trouble in the crowd until the coach from the Old Ball arrived just before half time and sorted it!!

It was foggy and rainy and if I remember rightly we won about 12-0

It was an early kick off as they didn't have floodlights in those days!!

ha, ha i went to all the games V Wire in the 70s and you never once sorted us lol, just remember we are in this division because we got kicked out while been no where near relegation places at the start of super league, we averaged nearly 5k then and took nearly 10k to a semi at elland rd before lyndsay and co nearly destroyed our club. we are slowly heading back with a new ground in the planning helped along by our 17 acres of land we own. WE WILL BE BACK
Do they still grow spuds on it??

Seriously now................is it still on a great big slope??
oh yes - i think the term plenty of undulations might be applicable to the pitch at Post Office Road and the wolves players will have the crowd breathing down their neck so they'd better be prepared

and i dont think there are any of those odd signs that people have been mentioning as you get into the village - thats what Fev is in case youve never been - you need M62 off at Jct 31 for Normanton and first lights are signed for Featherstone - its about 3-4 miles from there .

The pitch slope is still there in all its glory, my amateur team played on it the other night at it is daunting going up it. Featherstone is a village and has a unique crowd record that being a dozen bigger than the 14k population. We are very passionate fans, many of us remembering our glory days in the 70s and very, very bitter about the way were booted out of the top flight to allow PSG in.Rovers are brilliant with junior teams buying the U9s i coached a new kit, the open age side new subs coats they let us play on there pitch under lights. Rovers are some way down the line to getting a new stadium with a 50 million sports hub. Many of us are looking forward to seeing us play the wire as we havent for many years, Lyndsay saw to that

I've had enough, lets not go down the shouting for the coaches head route, Brians done a fantastic job. He took the club over in dificult circumstances and the team punched well above there weight in the play offs. We've got to be realistic, our glory days have gone, we're no longer a Saints, Leeds or a Warrington.

Cannot wait to go back there, bring back all the glorious 80's and memories, some good, some bad.
