Ben Harthill who played in the same Academy Team as Leon Hayes is a good prospect as a specialist hooker and wouldn`t let us down if he got the odd game this season. He created the space in the Widnes 1st Team defence for Hayes to slice through and pass to Taylor-Wray in the recent friendly game.

We need to continue to develop our own players where possible, and not import as many as we have in the past

Like a few have mentioned, injuries play a part so i'd rather still have him available than not at all. As i've said before, he's not a world beater but he's a decent option to have, same as Matty russell.
